Schloss Ehrenburg (Ehrenburg Palace)
Magnificent stately rooms from the 17th-19th centuries behind a neo-Gothic façade. The “Stadtresidenz” (City Residence) of former Coburg dukes would feel just as at home in London as it does here, and it was also a part-time home to Queen Victoria.

A must-try sausage for non-vegetarians! 31 centimetres of sheer Upper Franconian culinary delight roasted on pine cones. Available daily on the market square, just follow your nose!
Coburger Marktplatz (Market Square)
Seven alleys lead through the historic old town to Coburg’s market square. There, a magnificent 360° panoramic view of half-timbered houses and rococo and gothic façades opens up in all its splendour.

The green connection between the old town and Veste. The best place for a sundowner with a view of the city.
Landestheater Coburg (Coburg State Theatre)

Schloss Rosenau (Rosenau Palace)
The former summer residence of the ducal family and retreat of Queen Victoria. Situated a few kilometres north-east of Coburg in the municipality of Rödental.

The world’s largest samba festival outside Brazil offers everyone a chance to enjoy a South American attitude to life. Three days of dancing, drumming and celebrating in July.
