In the Risthof, you can combine your holiday with intensive therapies. Qualified massage therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists work in collaboration in a special therapy centre. Therapeutic horse riding is also available.

This farm near Immenstadt has four holiday homes. Two are designed for up to four guests - one of them partially barrier-free (as per DIN standards) - and two for up to five guests. There is also a bar, a sauna and a large garden with a playground.

The Rist family runs the farm according to organic principles. Bathing opportunities in Lake Alpsee, mountain walks nearby, for example to Salmaser and Thaler Höhe - routes which are also suitable for less experienced walkers.

Nearby clinic: Stadel-Hof Altötting

The Stadel-Hof run by the Pertl family is just outside Altötting. Should any treatment be required, the district hospital is just three kilometres away. The entire farm and the two bright, modern and friendly holiday homes, which sleep three and five guests respectively, are both barrier-free.

The doors are wide enough for wheelchair users with no raised thresholds, while the bathrooms are equipped with an accessible shower, shower seat and handrails. They also have a wheelchair-adapted basin and toilet.

There is free access to the garden from the accommodation. The lounge area, with tea and coffee-making facilities, is accessed via a ramp. You can drive your car right up to the door. Parking right outside the house. Walking and hiking options in the surrounding area.

For wheelchair users: Krämersbug in Middle Franconia

Krämersbug is situated in the Steinachtal valley between Würzburg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The large, two-bedroom ground floor apartment “Georgs Stub’n” sleeps up to six and is ideal for wheelchair users. Two further maisonettes provide accommodation for up to five guests each.

All the properties are comfortable, modern and well equipped. Guests can look forward to a wide programme of leisure experiences, including pony and tractor rides, barbecues, baking and more. Local destinations include the Bad Mergentheim Wild Park, Sommerhausen Zoo, Falkenhof Schillingsfürst and numerous swimming pools and bathing lakes. The holiday farm is separate from the agricultural enterprise.

Fantastic views: Kiasnhof in Chiemgau

A lush, green setting and views of the Chiemgau Mountains - these are the distinguishing features of the Kiasnhof, a Demeter-certified organic farm near Rosenheim. Its holiday homes are friendly, bright and fully equipped with all mod cons. The barrier-free ground floor holiday apartment “Korbinian” sleeps up to four people. It offers two bedrooms, a kitchen/living area and a terrace, and can be combined with the barrier-free Jakobus apartment, which sleeps two.

The farm has large communal areas and a barbecue site overlooking a playground, a sunbathing lawn and a well-being room with an infrared heat booth. The Kiasnhof is officially acknowledged by the liability insurance association as a farm that is “safe and healthy for children”.

Sustainable: Ferienhof Sennert in the Odenwald

The Ferienhof Sennert in the district of Miltenberg in Upper Franconia is all about sustainability: photovoltaic cells and solar panels provide electricity and hot water. The animals are fed GMO-free food and the garden has been designed to be bee-friendly.

At 110 square metres, the large “Rose” apartment on the ground floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with space for up to five guests, and is wheelchair-friendly and suitable for people with disabilities. The shower has a handrail and a shower seat. Open-plan living, kitchen and dining area.

The apartment can also be accessed via a separate entrance and there is a private seating area with an umbrella in the garden. Local places of interest include the Open-Air Museum in Gottersdorf and bathing lakes in Freudenberg and Niedernberg.

Close to nature: Achatz in the Bavarian Forest

In a lush, green setting, this holiday farm near Arnbruck lies in the High Bavarian Forest. It has two apartments designated partially barrier-free (as per DIN standards). Each covering 70 square metres, the apartments “Phantasie” and “Schönheit” are identical and each have two bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/living area, a shower and toilet, an additional toilet, a hall and a terrace.

Children will enjoy the small animal enclosure and the forest playground behind the farm. Day trips can be taken to various destinations, such as the Bayerwald Animal Park in Lohberg, the summer toboggan run and treetop walk in Sankt Englmar or the falconry centre in Grafenwiesen.

Five stars: Simmernhof in the Oberpfalz

Seven elegant, modern rooms and apartments featuring lots of wood are on offer in the new guesthouse at the Simmernhof. The farm has been awarded five stars by the German Tourism Association. The largest apartment, measuring 95 square metres and sleeping up to six guests, is partially barrier-free (as per DIN standards). It has two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and a generous living and dining room with access to the terrace.

Children can enjoy a playground and play vehicles, and they can also help with the animals. The organic family business with cows and calves lies on the Naab River north of Regensburg. The whole family will enjoy a trip on the flat wooden rafts known as “Zülln”, or sleeping in the hay bath in the new treehouse. Anglers can cast their lines in the Naab.

A long tradition: Der Auszeit-Hof in Oberstaufen

Guests have been spending their holidays here since 1955. The large holiday home “Staufenblick mit Terrasse” is tastefully modern with a lot of wood. Offering space for up to five guests, it is on the ground floor and is partially barrier-free (as per DIN standards). Another apartment with a balcony sleeps up to six guests.

A chic new wooden chalet on the hill above the farm boasts a covered terrace. Children can ride ponies, walk with alpacas, pet micro-pigs, feed animals, drive go-karts and tumble about in the playground. The surrounding area offers a variety of leisure opportunities, including the Aquaria experience pool, a Skywalk, a summer toboggan run and Lake Alpsee.
