Go Master Your Seven Summits!

The G7 Summit 2022 took place from 26 to 28 June in Elmau, Upper Bavaria, as it did seven years earlier. For us, a worthy occasion then to offer tips for sporty mountain tours under the motto “Go master your seven summits!” But we have more summit fun to offer: especially family-friendly tours, seven with particularly beautiful views, tours with mountain huts for true connoisseurs, ten of the most beautiful mountain villages for summit enthusiasts and eight Gravel bike tours.

At a glance

The seven summit tours for sporty, ambitious mountain hikers are located in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, Alpenwelt Karwendel, ZugspitzLand, Blaues Land, near Garmisch and in the Zugspitz village of Grainau.

Why was this G7 Summit taking place in Elmau again? This is because, according to the government, the secluded high valley meets “all logistical and security requirements for a G7 summit location”. But not only that: “With its scenic backdrop, Elmau Castle (...) provided an attractive setting for the (...) meetings of Heads of State and Governments”, according to the Federal Government’s homepage.
