Every year, mulled wine enjoys great popularity during Advent. But gin has also experienced a real hype in recent years. This is especially true of the excellent "Snow White" gin from the Bavarian Spessart region.
The young men Markus Skrobanek, Jonas Völker, Fabian Kreser and Stefan Blum are the creators of "Snow White" and present their personal recipe for a fruity and spicy mulled gin. Well then: Bottoms up!
Ingredients
- 1 l cloudy apple juice
- 1 organic orange
- 1 piece of ginger (about 3 cm)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 3 pieces of star anise
- 1 good shot of gin per glass
Preparation
Step 1
First, put the apple juice in a pot. Then peel the zest from the washed orange and squeeze out the juice. Then add the zest and the orange juice to the pot.
Step 2
Cut the ginger into thin slices and add it to the juice together with the cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise. Then heat all the ingredients. Caution: It should not boil!
Step 3
Finally - depending on your personal taste - add a good shot of "Snow White" gin and enjoy!
