Wendelstein Rack Railroad

Description

By rack-and-pinion railroad in Brannenburg or by large-cabin cable car in Bayrischzell, mountain lovers with walking disabilities can comfortably reach one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in the Chiemsee-Alpenland. Ramps or stair lifts allow access to the cable cars. The large panorama terrace and the Wendelsteinhaus restaurant are at ground level and offer a panoramic view of the Kampenwand, the Großglockner and the Zugspitze. On a barrier-free path, wheelchair users can reach the unique play and rest area on the Wendelstein under the motto "native mountain animals". At the valley station of the cog railroad as well as at the mountain station there is a handicapped accessible toilet.
