Wendelstein Cable Car

Description

A visit to the 1,838 m high Wendelstein is one of the highlights of the Tegernsee Schliersee Alpine region. A large cable car takes you from Bayrischzell to one of the most beautiful panoramic peaks in Bavaria in just six minutes. The mountain station on the Wendelstein is accessible at ground level. The Wendelsteinhaus with its panorama restaurant, self-service area and large mountain terrace including an exciting viewing platform are just a short walk away. Elevators at both the mountain and valley stations allow guests with walking disabilities effortless access to the cable car cabin. A stair-free path leads up to the play area under the motto "Native species in the mountains". Below the Wendelsteinkircherl, a view opens up in the direction of Lake Chiemsee. There is a handicapped accessible toilet at the mountain station of the rack railroad.
