All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are 4 marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 360 cm x 500 cm).
  • The surface quality of the car park is easy to walk and drive on.
  • The path from the car park to the entrance is 50 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 5 % over a distance of 40 m.
  • The bus stop "Watzmann Therme" is 160 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via a ramp and an elevator.
  • Exception: The brine pools indoors and outdoors and the "Zirbensauna" are only accessible via steps.
  • The ramp to the gymnastics room has a maximum gradient of 7,5 % and a total length of 7 m.
  • The ramp to the swimming pool (1st upper floor) has a maximum gradient of 8 % and a total length of 6 m.
  • The ramp (outdoors) to the "Stollensauna" has a maximum gradient of 8 % and a total length of 7 m.
  • The elevator cabin measures 110 cm x 135 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
  • Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • Exception: The sauna doors are between 67 cm and 81 cm wide.
  • The cash desk is 110 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There is a passenger lift and flat steps with handrails for entering the swimming pool, kids pool and the "Solebecken".

Changing room (upper floor)

  • The dressing room is 160 cm x 320 cm in size.
  • The narrowest passage width in the room is 160 cm.
  • There is seating available.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the restaurants of the of the sauna and water landscape (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Public toilet for people with disabilities in the dressing room (ground floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    • in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    • left of the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the right.
  • There are handles on the right and left of the toilet. The handle on the left of the toilet can be folded up.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger (cord) is present.

Public toilet with shower for people with disabilities in the water landscape (1st upper floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    • in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    • left of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the right.
  • There are handles on the right and left of the toilet. The handle on the left of the toilet can be folded up.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is 120 cm x 110 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are horizontally mounted grab handles in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger (cord) is present.

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed in the establishment.
  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The entrances to the water, sauna and sole landscape are visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The evaluated areas that can be used by the guest are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators.
  • The paths in corridors/aisles are visually contrasted to the surroundings in the entire building/object.
  • The paths in corridors/aisles are predominantly marked with tactile markings or the walls or other structural elements can mainly be used for orientation.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • There are no revolving or rotating doors.
  • There are a few glass doors without safety markings.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
  • The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available.
  • At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges.
  • Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The pool edges are visually contrasted.
  • The font of the menu in the restaurants of the sauna and water landscape is straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no menu in large print or Braille.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.

  • In the restaurants of the of the sauna and water landscape there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. seating corner, separate room).
