Hiking trail ski jumping hill - Faistenoy - Anatswald - Birgsau

Description

Short description of the hiking trail ski jumping hill -Faistenoy-Anatswald-Birgsau (20 km round trip, one way 10 km)

From the "Marktplatz" or the "Oberstdorf Haus" in southern direction along "Prinzenstraße", past the "Loretto" chapels - turn right into "Wiesenweg" to the lower "Renksteg". Now turn left upstream along the "Stillach" river past the "Oberen Renksteg" and continue south. Over the bridge on the right you reach the "Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze". Here you come to the deep run-out of the ski planes and can get a picture of the enormous height. Back over the bridge and on the left side follow the "Stillach" river through a forest section after a short ascent along the brook to Faistenoy. Shortly after Faistenoy you reach Anatswald and Birgsau. On the same route you can return to Oberstdorf. The return journey is also possible with the bus line. Travel times for "low-floor buses" (but unsuitable for electric wheelchairs!) must be requested in advance from RVA (Tel. 08322 96770).

The hiking trail to Birgsau can be accessed at the following points:

"Oberstdorf Haus" (Parking)

Car park and bus stop "Renksteg"

Car park and bus stop at the ski jumping hill

Car park Faistenoy and bus stop Faistenoy/Fellhornbahn and bus stop Birgsau.

Public toilets are located in the "Oberstdorf Haus" (during opening hours), at the ski jumping hill and at the "Fellhornbahn" (during opening hours).
