Hiking Trail View of Riedenburg and the Altmühltal

Description

The Schwammerl lookout point in Riedenburg provides a magnificent panoramic view of the Drei-Burgen city.

A "Schwammerl", which protects from rain and sun and offers a breathtaking view, can be found not far from the old town. On the sunny Jura plateau with meadows and fields of the Jachenhausener Berg, there is a magnificent panoramic view of Riedenburg and the surrounding countryside. The path is just under one kilometer long and mostly asphalted. From here, a beautiful, undeveloped view of the Drei-Burgen town and the Altmühl valley opens up. The view is secured downhill by a ramp for wheelchair users.
