Waldmuseum Zwiesel

Description

The Bavarian Forest is presented to you on 1,200 m² in the Forest Museum, which also includes a view across the border into the Bohemian Forest.

The museum extends over three floors. The cultural and natural history of the Bavarian Forest, the theme of glass and the history of the town of Zwiesel form the main contents.

The third oldest pharmacy in the Bavarian Forest is also on display. A separate section is also dedicated to snuff and its precious containers.

Through constant change, additions and changing special exhibitions, concerts, lectures, etc., the Forest Museum is both a cultural centre and a centre of attraction in Zwiesel.

There is a wedding chapel in the Forest Museum where civil weddings are performed.
