Description

The Vital Hotel an der Therme is located right next to the Franken-Therme Bad Windsheim. Here you will find a place to relax and enjoy Central Franconia's largest spa. 

The hotel is also comfortably connected to the thermal baths by a "bathrobe corridor", through which you can comfortably enter the Franken-Therme directly. 

The hotel, which only opened in 2016, has 87 modern and high-quality rooms, which create a feel-good atmosphere for guests, especially through harmonious furnishings with warm natural tones and light wood.

 Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report. 

  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities (space size: 370 cm x 440 cm). The parking space is 10 m from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, if necessary via a ramp).  
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. Door thresholds are max. 3.5 cm high. 
  • Doors are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The reception counter is 117 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • In the breakfast area, wheelchair accessible tables are available (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 
  • The following aids are provided: Wheelchair for use in the thermal baths.

Room 06 (double room)

  • The movement areas are
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 180 cm;
    to the left of the bed 90 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 55 cm high.
  • The movement areas in the bathroom are:
  • in front of the washbasin 160 cm x 160 cm;
    in front of the toilet 160 cm x 160 cm; to the left of the toilet 180 cm x 61 cm;
    to the right of the WC 57 cm x 61 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
  • Both grab rails can be folded up. 
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. 
  • The shower is 180 cm x 172 cm.
  • Grab rails are provided in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).
  • There is an alarm trigger available. 

Room 19 (double room)

  • The movement areas are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 180 cm;
    to the left of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 95 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 55 cm high.
  • The movement areas in the bathroom are:
    in front of the washbasin 160 cm x 160 cm;
    in front of the toilet 160 cm x 160 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 57 cm x 61 cm;
    to the right of the WC 180 cm x 61 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
  • Both grab rails can be folded up. 
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. 
  • The shower is 180 cm x 170 cm.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).
  • There is an alarm trigger available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The movement areas are:
    in front of the washbasin 160 cm x 180 cm;
    in front of the WC 180 cm x 160 cm; to the left of the WC 44 cm x 61 cm;
    to the right of the WC 106 cm x 61 cm.
    There is a grab rail to the right of the WC.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm'.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast but cannot be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • Assistance dogs (guide dogs, guide dogs for the blind etc.) are allowed at all relevant areas of the company.
  • Glass doors are not provided with safety markings.
  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed acoustically. The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
  • At least the first and last step of the stairs from the ground floor to the 1st floor have a visually contrasting edge with the horizontal and vertical step surface.

  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed audibly. Alternatively, there are staircases.
  • There are tables where there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the visual field or eye contact.
  • There are tables with bright and glare-free lighting where there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the visual field.
  • There are no tables with low background noises.
  • A television with teletext is available.
  • Knocking at the room door and the ringing of the telephone are not indicated by a flashing signal.

  • The destinations of paths are usually within sight.
  • There is no information in easy language.
