Vacation Inspiration "A Journey Through Time: The Nuremberg Trials"
Destination Nuremberg
Description
Nuremberg is known not only as the former site of the National Socialist Party Rallies, but also as the place where leading representatives of the National Socialist regime were brought to justice before an international tribunal.
At the Memorium Nuremberg Trials, you can learn more about the historic trials, the so-called “Subsequent Nuremberg Trials,” and their far-reaching impact on the development of modern international criminal law, right at the original historic site. The highlight of the museum is the famous Courtroom 600, where a digital journey through time brings the historic trials vividly to life.
After your museum visit, Nuremberg’s city centre invites you to enjoy a relaxing culinary break. Simply take the U1 underground line from Bärenschanze station to Weißer Turm station. From there, the Historic Bratwurst Kitchen, the world’s oldest bratwurst restaurant, is just a short walk of around four minutes (approximately 350 metres).
For a comfortable stay in a central location, the four-star Park Plaza Nuremberg hotel is an excellent option. If you would like further inspiration for accessible excursions and personalised travel recommendations, the staff at the Tourist Information offices at Hauptmarkt and in the Handwerkerhof are always happy to help.
