Vacation Inspiration "From Historic Locomotives to Franconian Delights"

Destination Nuremberg

Description

Get to know Nuremberg’s traditional side while discovering the amenities of a modern city.

Check in at the 4-star Hotel Victoria: Located right next to the historic city wall, it combines traditional charm with contemporary comfort. This privately owned hotel offers elegant rooms and first-class service, and is the ideal starting point for your explorations of the Old Town.

From your hotel, a leisurely walk (about 15 minutes) will take you to the DB Museum. Here, an exciting journey through time awaits you, from the beginnings of the railroad in Germany to modern-day mobility. The vehicle collection at Germany’s oldest railroad museum showcases more than 30 impressive highlights of German railroad history.

After your museum visit, you can look forward to light Franconian dishes and excellent wines at the Hotel & Weinrestaurant Steichele. This cozy, traditional restaurant has been run by the Steichele family for five generations and is about a 10-minute walk from the DB Museum.

For further inspiration and accessibility tips, our staff at the Tourist Information office on the Hauptmarkt and at the Handwerkerhof are always happy to assist you.
