Get to know the National Park - immerse yourself in the wild forest nature 

Immerse yourself in the wild forest wilderness of Germany's oldest national park. 

Enjoy a day at the Lusen National Park Center near Neuschönau. 

Here you will learn all kinds of interesting facts about the forest and its inhabitants: in the information center Hans-Eisenmann-Haus, in the adjacent animal enclosure with lynx, bear, wolf and co. and in the plant and rock enclosure.

Then it's off to the top: the tree-top walk takes you to the 44-meter-high Baumei - where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the forest treetops.

You can stop for a bite to eat at the Waldwirtschaft, which is located directly at the entrance to the treetop path.

Arrival and mobility on site:

You can arrive by car or comfortably by train. From the train station you can reach the accommodation by bus or taxi.   

In the National Park area you can also use the Igel bus. Many buses are low-floor. However, not all platforms and not all buses are barrier-free. If you are unsure, please contact the companies listed in the timetable before setting off!
