Bavarian Forest

Description

With all senses - Adventure and nature enjoyment!

Near Spiegelau, the extensive forest playground awaits you with playground equipment on different levels. A barrier-free circular path leads through the area. In addition, there is a 2 km long nature discovery trail with 10 stations where you can discover the forest and its inhabitants with all your senses.

Alternatively, from the Diensthüttenstraße near Riedlhütte, you can explore the largest raised bog in the Bavarian Forest - the Große Filz - on a 1.6 km low-barrier circular trail with an observation tower!

With the Igelbus you can easily reach the low barrier excursion restaurant Racheldiensthütte at the foot of the Großer Rachel, the highest peak in the national park area, from Spiegelau as well as from the Diensthüttenstraße.

Arrival and mobility on site:

You can arrive by car or comfortably by train. From the train station you can reach the accommodation by bus or taxi.

In the National Park area you can also use the Igel bus. Many buses are low-floor. However, not all platforms and not all buses are barrier-free. If you are unsure, please contact the companies listed in the timetable before setting off!
