Description
Welcome!
Historical healing power and the Bavarian way of life
Bad Gögging has been a state-recognized spa town for over a century. As far back as more than 2,000 years ago, the ancient Romans valued the healing properties of this place. The remains of an ancient public bath still bear witness to this today.
The spa park, with its idyllic waterways, well-maintained paths, and small bridges, invites you to take a stroll and relax. Two lakes also offer a pleasant atmosphere for lingering. In the immediate vicinity are the Kurhaus, the Catholic spa church, the Limes-Therme, an outdoor chess area, a bocce court, a barefoot path, as well as numerous restaurants and shops in the pedestrian zone.
Just ten kilometers away, the medieval town of Abensberg beckons with its winding alleys, the colorful tower of the Kuchlbauer wheat beer brewery, and lively town festivals that bring the Bavarian way of life to life. During the warmer months, a visit to the nearby Biburg Monastery Beer Garden is also highly recommended.
Getting there and local transportation:
There are train stations in Abensberg (barrier-free access) and Neustadt an der Donau (connection to Bad Gögging via local public transportation).
From May 1 to October 3, in addition to local public transportation (ÖPNV), recreational buses with bike trailers are available on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. All recreational buses are low-floor buses.
