Description
Culture x 4 in Deggendorf
The Danube city of Deggendorf is the gateway to the Bavarian Forest. A modern town whose medieval roots create a relaxing, charming atmosphere. You can feel and experience it during a leisurely stroll across the historic town square, past the historic town wall or through winding alleyways as well as while strolling along the banks of the Danube.
If you want to delve deeper into the history of Deggendorf, you can visit the town museum.
Deggendorf is also home to the Handicrafts Museum. The permanent exhibition focuses on Lower Bavarian craft culture - craft techniques, products and life testimonies of craftsmen.
From here you can quickly be in the middle of the Bavarian Forest. For example, in Bischofsmais, where a visit to the spa gardens is well worthwhile. Enjoyment of nature, oases of peace, adventure stations and a barrier-free circular trail await you here.
Arrival and mobility on site
You can arrive by car or comfortably by train. From the train station you can reach the accommodation by bus or taxi.
In the National Park area you can also use the Igel bus. Many buses are low-floor. However, not all platforms and not all buses are barrier-free. If you are unsure, please contact the companies listed in the timetable before setting off!
