What could be more beautiful than sailing across the glittering lake chiemsee by ship? With the ships of the chiemsee schifffahrt you can reach both islands, from Prien and Gstadt all year long. The two boat landing stages as well as the landing stages on the islands are accessible without barriers. On the Herreninsel you can visit the famous castle Herrenchiemsee of fairy tale king Ludwig II. The smaller Fraueninsel with its charming fisherman village and the benedictine monastery Frauenwörth is a true gem. 

The Chiemsee region is wonderful to explore by bike. Whether with handbike, recumbent bike, tricycle or on two wheels. If you don't want to bring your own bike, you can rent one from “tour-me” in Chieming, for example. The bike rental offers a competent advice and a wide range of different bikes for every need.

There is a wide range of accommodation around the lake the chalets at “Lamplhof” near rimsting, or at “Beim Kiasn” in Halfing await their guests with barrier-free apartments, vacation homes or rooms in a cozy and familiar atmosphere.

From May to October, the ring bus "Chiemsee ring line" also runs, connecting the towns around Lake Chiemsee.
