Accessible Tourist Information Centre, Schönberg
The market town of Schönberg is known by the charming nickname ‘the Merano of the Bavarian Forest’ and is situated in the beautiful Bavarian Forest National Park holiday region. Thanks in particular to its idyllic location on the Kadernberg, the town is reminiscent of its South Tyrolean counterpart. The heart of Schönberg is the market square. The colourful houses on either side of the roundabout are built in the Inn-Salzach style and attract countless tourists every year. The market square is the hub of the town: a meeting place for locals and the starting point for many excursions and hikes around Schönberg. Access to the Tourist Information Office is step-free and a barrier-free toilet is available.
