Tourist- and National Park-Information Mauth

Description

Mauth is the official vacation resort of the Bavarian Forest National Park vacation region.
In the former forestry office building in Mauth, you will find the Bavarian Forest National Park Information Center and the Mauth Tourist Information Center.
There you will receive information, advice and tips about the region as well as the Bavarian Forest and Šumava National Parks. Questions about your excursion or vacation as well as about the Bavarian Forest National Park will be gladly answered on site.

  • There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 450 cm x 800 cm).
  • The building is steplessly accessible via ramp.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or via elevator.
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 4 % and a total length of 5 m.
  • The elevator cabin measures 100 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 95 cm high.
  • The exhibits are predominately visible when seated.
  • The information on the exhibits is predominately readable when seated.
  • There are no guided tours available for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are: in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the the washbasin at least 160 cm x 170 cm;
    left of the toilet 100 cm x 71 cm,
    no manoeuvring space on the right.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available.
  • At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges (stairs indoors).
  • Stairs indoors have at least handrails on both sides.
  • The exhibits are usually well illuminated.
  • The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in writing and is visually rich in contrast.
