Come to our Tourist Information center. We are at your service! Our trained and multilingual staff will be pleased to help you and give you advice and support, so that you can take home fond memories of your stay in Nuremberg. We offer a full service, from A for Accommodation via S for Souvenirs to Z for Zoo.

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. 
  • Exterior walkways are at least 200 cm wide. 
  • Passages and doors are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The counter/cash register is 92 cm high at the lowest point. 
  • There is another, equivalent means of communication while seated.

 Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 160 cm;
    in front of the toilet 160 cm x 160 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 84 cm x 74 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 118 cm x 74 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The entrance door is a glass door without safety markings and can be opened with your own effort.
  • There are no carousel or rotary doors.
  • Information is available in well legible font, but not in Braille or prism font.
  • Operating elements can be captured tactilely everywhere, but are not visually rich in contrast.
  • Tracks are visually contrasted with their surroundings throughout the entire operation, but are not marked with tactile markings. The walls or other structural elements cannot be used for orientation.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit and glare-free.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path / room.

  • There is no alarm in the building.
  • An audio induction loop is not available.
  • Information is available in written form.
  • Group tours for deaf people in German sign language are offered. An appointment is necessary. There are no guided tours for people with hearing impairment.

  • The name or logo of the facility is clearly recognizable from the outside.
  • The objective of the path is only partially within sight.
  • There is no coloured or pictorial guidance system available.
