  • Buses, underground trains and suburban trains run at Marienplatz. The underground station has an elevator.
  • The width of the entrance door is 130 cm, the door opens automatically. Behind the door, the path has an inclination of 6 % on a distance of 1 m.
  • All rooms that can be used by the guest are accessible at ground level.
  • The sales counter with the checkout area is 114 cm high at the lowest or highest point. There is no other way to communicate while sitting.
  • Doors are at least 150 cm wide, passageways are usually wider.
  • There are Manoeuvring spaces of 150 cm x 150 cm in the customer room.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities in the inner courtyard of the town hall, which is about 100 m away from the TI.

  • Special trained guides make sure that guests with walking disabilities and wheelchair users can take part in any guided tour and will be dealt with their concerns.

  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast and can be recognised by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The house signage is designed in clearly legible, contrasting font.
  • Glass doors are available in the entrance area. These are not marked with safety marks and open automatically.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
  • There are usually no obstacles, e.g. Objects protruding into the path/room are present.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • Guided tours are offered for visually impaired people and blind people. 
  • Special trained guides make sure that visually impaired guests and blind guests can take part in any guided tour and their concerns will be dealt with.
