Description

Right in the heart of the city, directly in the main train station, the Tourist Information Fürth welcomes you. Here you will receive valuable information for your stay in Fürth, as well as on the city's history and the many themed tours. In addition, you can get tourist information about the neighboring cities and the Franconian region. Do you need a room or a funny Fürth souvenir? You have come to the right place!

For people with walking disabilities, the Tourist Information can be reached via a ramp and barrier-free access. The Tourist-Information Fürth offers a city tour for visually and physically impaired participants. Depending on the impairment, you can explore the old town or the city park of Fürth together with our guides, experience history, feel buildings or facades. Additionally, a sign language guide can be booked. Advance reservation is necessary. The contents are explained in easy language. There is an eyeble function on the website.

  • 50 m opposite there are bus stops around the station square. The station itself can be reached via a long ramp (distance: approx. 40 m). 
  • There are two public parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 218 cm wide x 620 cm).
  • The parking lot is 15 m away from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is possible without steps (max. 2 cm threshold) via the barrier-free designed entrance.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. Door thresholds are max. 3 cm high. 
  • Exterior walkways have a maximum longitudinal slope of 8%. 
  • Passages and doors are at least 91 cm wide. 
  • The information counter is 110 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • There is a public municipal toilet for the disabled right next to the Tourist Information (does not belong to the Tourist Information). The toilet can only be opened with a Euro key. This key can be deposit at the Tourist Information.

  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the facility/offer. 
  • The main entrance is recognizablev and visually contrasted with the surroundings by a tactilely perceptible change of flooring.  
  • There are glass doors that do not have safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • There are no floor indicators in the interior and exterior areas.
  • All raised and usable areas for the guest (entrance area, cashier/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
