Tourist Information Arrach

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".   

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

• There is a parking lot for people with disabilities (parking space size: 230 cm x 600 cm).
• The path between the parking lot and the entrance across the road is 58 m long and has a longitudinal gradient of 11%; it is not easy to walk or drive on. 
• There is a public transport stop 28 m away.   
• All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests and are elevated are steplessly accessible (door thresholds max. 3 cm high).
• Passages and doors are at least 82 cm wide.
• The information counter is 89 cm high. There is another, equivalent means of communication while seated.

Public WC for people with disabilities

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the sink 230 cm x 182 cm; in front of the WC 170 cm x 182 cm;
  to the left of the WC 160 cm x 50 cm; to the right of the WC 17 cm x 500 cm. 
• There are grab rails on the left and right side of the WC.
• The left grab rail can be flipped-up. 
• The sink is wheelchair compatible. 
• The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

• Assistance dogs may be brought along.
• The entrance is visually rich in contrast.
• Rooms and corridors are brightly lit.
• There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
• There is no guidance system with floor indicators. Walkway boundaries are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.     
• The steps to the entrance are not visually rich in contrast, there are handrails on both sides. (there is an alternative route without stairs)
• Aids provided: Reading aids (magnifying glasses, reading glasses, etc.)
