Chieming Tourist Information Centre

Description

The Tourist-Info Chieming is located in the Haus des Gastes of the municipality of Chieming am Chiemsee directly in the town centre.

It is only a few metres from the car parks, including disabled parking, and the bus stop "Rathaus" or "Tankstelle" to the Tourist-Info Chieming. You can easily reach the Tourist-Info Chieming on the ground floor at ground level via the south entrance or via a ramp at the north entrance. The other floors, including the toilets and the disabled toilet, can be reached by lift or stairs. Our staff will be happy to provide you with all the information you need about your stay in beautiful Chieming im Chiemgau or help you find a suitable host. A wide range of brochures, event information, sights, tips on leisure activities and information about hosts are also available outside opening hours in the lobby of the Chieming Tourist Information Centre. This is open daily and also contains an information screen where you can call up information of your choice.

  • There is a marked parking lot for people with disabilities.
  • There is a bus stop (name: Rathaus) 40 m away.
  • Exterior paths are easy to walk and drive on (natural stone paving).
  • The entrance/access to the building is stepless.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible.
  • The elevator car is 110 cm x 140 cm.
  • Doors/passages are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The counter is 74 cm high at its lowest point. There is a communication facility while seated.
  • There is a "wheelchair button" at the information terminal in the vestibule for optimal operation from a wheelchair.

Public WC for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    200 cm x 140 cm in front of the washbasin;
    in front of the WC 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the WC 94 cm x 70 cm;
    89 cm x 70 cm to the right of the WC.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC. Both grab rails can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be seen from a sitting or standing position.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms.
  • The main entrance area is visually contrasted with its surroundings and recognizable by a tactile change in flooring.  
  • The signage is designed in easily legible lettering.
  • All elevated areas that can be used by guests are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • At least the first and last steps of stairs have a visually contrasting edge. The stairs to the toilet have handrails on both sides with tactile information about the floor.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system. The operating elements are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • The following aids are available: Reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.)

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly, e.g. by an intercom system.
  • There is no inductive hearing system at the counter.
