- Nuremberg is a major hub in the national rail network. The modern main train station is at the gateway to the old town and is just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. All platforms are equipped with step-free access (lift), train indicators, loudspeaker systems, tactile handrail signs, and platform guidance systems (except platforms 2 and 3), high-contrast signage and marked steps. Most platforms have a height of ≥ 55 cm
- National and international bus services to and from Nuremberg operate from the central bus station (ZOB), which is only a 15-minute walk to the historic old town. The ZOB is equipped with a guidance system for the visually impaired and an accessible toilet
- The international Albrecht Dürer Airport is just 12 minutes by underground (U-Bahn) from the city centre. The U2 line and taxi ranks are located right outside the terminals
- Nuremberg is optimally connected by motorways A3, A6, A9 and A73, making it easy to reach the city. The parking guidance system around the old town provides information on available parking spaces.
