Getting There and Local Transportation:Due to its proximity to Munich, there are a wide variety of ways to reach the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine Region, both by train and by car.

You can reach the Tegernsee-Schliersee Alpine Region either by car via the A8 highway, taking the Holzkirchen, Weyarn, or Irschenberg exits, or via the A95 highway, taking the Sindelsdorf exit and continuing through Bad Tölz on the B472. Coming from the south, take the Inntalautobahn or the Achen Pass.

A convenient way to travel is by taking the Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) trains from Munich Central Station. Most stops on the MVV network are accessible. Ramps and assistive devices make it easier to use buses and regional trains, even with larger wheelchairs.
