All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".  

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is a public transport stop (ÖPNV) 120 m away.
  • There is a general parking lot available. There are six marked parking spaces available for people with disabilities (space size: 350 cm x 500 cm, distance to entrance: 120 m).
  • The entrance to the ticket office is accessible without steps or thresholds. The entrance doors (vestibule) are automatic doors.
  • All rooms that can be used by guests and are elevated are accessible at ground level, via ramps or elevator.
  • Ramps are at least 85 cm wide and have a maximum longitudinal slope of 9%.
  • The elevator car is 109 cm x 142 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
  • All raised doors and passages in the spa area are at least 90 cm wide (exception: infrared cabin with 79 cm door width). 
  • All raised doors and passageways in the sauna area and beauty dome are at least 80 cm. Exceptions: Aromaticum with 72 cm door width, houseboat sauna with 72 cm door width, steam ice bath and brine inhalation with 62 cm door width and the log cabin sauna with 60 cm door width.
  • The cash desk is 115 cm high. There is another possibility of communication while sitting.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the catering areas.

Thermal and swimming pools (indoor and outdoor)

  • Flat steps with handrails are available at the swimming pools. 
  • A mobile personal lift is available for entry into the indoor and outdoor thermal pools.
  • All raised doors and passages in the thermal area are at least 90 cm wide (exception: infrared cabin with 79 cm door width). 

Sauna area

  • The entrance for wheelchair users is step-free via the catering area using an 8-meter ramp with a 9% incline. The smallest usable walking width is 85 cm.
  • Mobile ramps are also available (max. longitudinal slope of 11 %, walking width: 90 cm, length: 110 cm. Staff support.
  • All raised doors and passages in the sauna area and beauty dome are at least 80 cm. Exceptions: Aromaticum with 72 cm door width, houseboat sauna with 72 cm door width, steam ice bath and brine inhalation with 62 cm door width and the log cabin sauna with 60 cm door width.

Beauty dome

  • The entrance area is accessible without steps or thresholds. 
  • The reception desk is 115 cm high. There is another possibility of communication while sitting.

Sanitary area with toilet and shower (at the same time changing room) in the spa.

  • The door to the changing room / WC is 94 cm wide. In the changing room, the movement areas are at least 150 cm x 150 cm. The narrowest passage width is 165 cm. Seating is available.
  • The manoeuvring areas are
    166 cm x 210 cm in front of the washbasin;
    in front of the toilet 210 cm x 166 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 190 cm x 69 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 108 cm x 69 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps.
  • The shower area is 94 cm x 150 cm.
  • There are grab bars in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if needed (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).

  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. . 
  • The shower area is 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • There are grab bars in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if needed (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).
  • There is an alarm trigger available.

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed.
  • The entrance area to the cash register is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of the floor covering.
  • The access without steps and thresholds is via two automatic glass doors (vestibule) with safety markings.
  • In the entrance area, the paths are visually rich in contrast, but not marked with tactile markings. The walls or other structural elements cannot be used for orientation.
  • All evaluated areas are predominantly illuminated brightly and glare-free (exceptions: saunas, rooms and corridors in the beauty dome).
  • Path boundaries on outdoor paths are usually visually rich in contrast and can be detected tactilely. There is no uninterrupted guidance system with floor indicators.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • Stairs are not rich in contrast.

Thermal Bath

  • The entrance to the "Kelosauna" (outdoor area) is steplessly accessible, visually contrasting and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering. Safety markings are present.
  • The pelvic edges of the pools are usually visually contrasted.
  • Operating elements are occasionally tactile and visually contrasting.
  • Paths are designed visually rich in contrast everywhere and are predominantly marked with tactile markings or the walls or other structural elements can be used for orientation.
  • All evaluated areas are bright and glare-free almost everywhere (exception: steam bath "Laterna Magica").

Sauna area

  • At the entrance to the sauna area with gastronomy there are five low-contrast steps with a handrail on one side.
  • Glass doors are not marked with safety markings (exception: sweat lodge at the "Triftbach", infrared cabin).
  • Operating elements are visually rich in contrast everywhere, but only partially tactile.
  • Paths are designed visually rich in contrast everywhere and are predominantly marked with tactile markings or the walls or other structural elements can be used for orientation.

Beauty dome

  • The entrance is steplessly accessible, visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • Glass doors are not provided with safety markings.
  • In the elevator, the stopping position is not announced by speech. Operating elements are tactile, signs are in Braille. An outgoing emergency call is confirmed acoustically. Alternatively, low-contrast staircases with handrails are available.
  • Operating elements are visually high in contrast everywhere and can be detected tactilely.
  • Paths are designed visually rich in contrast everywhere and marked almost everywhere with tactile markings or the walls or other structural elements can be used for orientation.

  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the elevator in the beauty dome, an outgoing emergency call is confirmed acoustically, but not optically.
  • In the gastronomy areas there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision. There are no seating areas with low nackground noises.
  • Information/signage is usually provided in written form.

  • There is no menu with pictures, the dishes are not presented visibly.

  • The destinations of the routes are usually within sight or there is an uninterrupted guidance system.
