The Monarch Hotel

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users".

• There are four parking spaces available for people with disabilities.
• The Limes Therme bus stop is 300 m away. 
• All guest-accessible rooms and facilities are either step-free/at ground level or accessible via elevators. 
• All guest-accessible doors, passageways, and pathways are at least 90 cm wide. The exception is the changing room in the spa area, where the passage width is 69 cm.
• The reception desk is 115 cm high.
• There are eleven rooms designed to be accessible.
• The toilet in the room is accessible from one side (at least 80 cm). A fold-down grab bar is available on the accessible side of the toilet.
• The sink is wheelchair compatible, and the mirror is visible even when seated.
• Access to the shower is threshold-free. A grab bar and a shower chair are provided.
• The restaurant features tables that are no more than 80 cm high and are wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
• A wellness area is available. In the sauna area, there is a manoeuvring space in front of the lower bench measuring at least 150 cm x 150 cm. 
• To enter the swimming pool, there are shallow steps with a handrail.
• Public restrooms for people with disabilities are available and are accessible from at least one side (at least 80 cm). A fold-down grab bar is provided at least on the accessible side of the restroom.

• Assistance dogs are welcome.
• The entrance area is designed with high visual contrast.
• Signage (for wayfinding) is designed with clearly legible, high-contrast lettering.
• All elevated areas accessible to guests are illuminated with bright, glare-free lighting.
• An emergency call made from the elevator is confirmed by an audible signal.
• Steps do not have high-contrast edges.
• Staircases have at least a one-sided handrail.
• The font on the menu is simple and designed with high visual contrast.
• The edges of the pools are set off with high visual contrast.  
• There are steps with a handrail leading into the swimming pools.
• Information is not available in braille or raised lettering.

• There is no audio induction loop system available. 
• Wi-Fi is available.
• In the rooms surveyed, there is at least one freely accessible electrical outlet near the bed. 
• An emergency call made from the elevator is confirmed only by an audible signal. Stairs are available as an alternative.
• The restaurant features tables with bright, glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging above them that would obstruct the field of vision or eye contact.
