Description

The trains run on the Ostallgäu-Lechfeld route network:
München-Buchloe-Füssen
Augsburg-Buchloe-Füssen
Augsburg-Landsberg am Lech

The trains comply with the EU-wide standard for accessibility and are also approved by the supervisory authority, the federal railway office. All passengers with reduced mobility are welcome on board and are supported in every respect. Entry areas

  • The doors open automatically. They are double-leaf doors with a passage width of 129 cm. A door sill extends and - depending on the platform height - allows stepless entry and exit (door sill 1 cm).
  • In addition, there are two mobile feeder ramps for platforms with a height difference to the railcar. These are put in place by the train crew as required.
  • The folding ramp measures 150 x 80 cm (length x width). It can also be used by electric wheelchairs (max. 350 kg).

Passenger compartments

  • All "Lint" trains have a passenger compartment with 2 designated spaces for wheelchairs.
  • The area for wheelchair users is 137 x 140 cm.
  • The high floor area is only accessible via steps.

WC for people with disabilities (in the passenger compartment for wheelchair users)

  • The door to the WC is at least 90 cm wide. There is a door threshold with a height of 2 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 130 cm x 110 cm;
    in front of the WC 110 cm x 130 cm;
    to the left of the WC 17cm x 56 cm; to the right of the WC 94 cm x 56 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
  • The right grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink has limited access. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • In the interior of the railcars there is no guidance system with ground indicators.
  • Stairs are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Opening and closing of the doors is announced acoustically.
  • The operating elements (e.g. door handles, emergency call buttons) are visually contrasting and tactilely detectable almost everywhere.
  • All raised areas that can be used by the guest (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • Signs are designed in clearly legible, visually rich in contrast font.

  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In case of an emergency there is an announcement. Additional information is provided in written form by the train staff. There is no visually clearly perceptible alarm.
  • Information that serves orientation and consists of words is available in written form, in photo-realistic representation or in the form of pictograms.

  • The name and logo of the railcar are clearly recognizable from the outside.
  • Usually there are pictorial representations or pictograms.
