Description
The trains run on the following Chiemgau-Inntal network: Munich - Rosenheim - Salzburg Munich - Rosenheim - Kufstein Munich - Holzkirchen - Rosenheim.
The trains comply with the EU-wide accessibility standard TSI-PRM and are approved by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA).
You do not need to register to travel with us. If necessary, our train drivers and customer service staff will quickly and easily install ramps for wheelchair users and assist with boarding and alighting. Please note that this may be handled differently on other railways.
One exception: If you are travelling in a group, please register in advance. And if you wish, you can of course register for the journey in general, there is no obligation to do so. Entrance areas
- The doors open automatically. They are double-wing doors with a passage width of 130 cm. A movable door step (100 cm wide) extends into the normal boarding areas and - depending on the platform height - enables stepless entry and exit (door treshold approx. 3 cm).
- The entrance to the multipurpose area with barrier-free toilet, also has a lift for platforms that have a height difference to the railcar. The lift is operated by the train staff if required. The passage width of the double-wing doors in the boarding area with lift is 105 cm. The lift platform measures 76 x 120 cm (width x length). Wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs up to 350 kg can be transported. Booking in advance is required.
- There is also a mobile docking ramp with dimensions of 80 x 160 cm (width x length). The ramp is applied by the train staff; advance reservation is requested.
Passenger compartments
- There are six multipurpose areas per railcar with designated spaces for wheelchair users. One multipurpose area per train has a lift.
- Four to six wheelchairs can be transported per multipurpose area.
- The width of the marked area for wheelchair users is at least 190 x 210 cm per area.
- The passage from the corresponding multipurpose areas to the barrier-free toilet is at least 95 cm wide.
- To get to the high-floor area with 1st class, there are stairs with 2 steps to climb.
Public toilet (in the passenger compartment for wheelchair users).
- The path between the wheelchair spaces and the toilet is at least 95 cm wide.
- The toilet door is at least 100 cm wide.
- The manoeuvring spaces are:
in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 110 cm;
in front of the toilet 140 cm x 85 cm;
to the left of the toilet 10 cm x 30 cm;
to the right of the toilet 110 cm x 68 cm. - There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet .
- The right grab rail can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- An alarm trigger is available.

- Assistance dogs are allowed.
- In the interior of the railcars there is no guidance system with ground indicators.
- Stairs are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
- Opening and closing of the doors is announced acoustically.
- The operating elements (e.g. door handles, emergency call buttons) are visually contrasting and tactilely detectable almost everywhere.
- All raised areas that can be used by the guest (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
- Signs are designed in clearly legible, visually rich in contrast font.
- Information is available in Braille or prismatic writing.

- There is no audio induction loop.
- In case of an emergency there is an announcement. Additional information is provided in written form by the train staff.
- There is no visually clearly perceptible alarm.
- Information that serves orientation and consists of words is available in written form, in photo-realistic representation or in the form of pictograms.

- Usually there are pictorial representations or pictograms.
