City Museum Fürth

Description

The Fürth City Museum, which opened in 2010, illuminates the development of the cloverleaf city from various points of view, such as social and economic history.

On more than 800 m², the permanent exhibition shows the development of Fürth from a small market town to a modern metropolis. Unique objects, documents, photos, media and scent stations on industry and crafts, power relations, social issues and more illustrate the eventful history of the Kleeblattstadt. As a backbone and red thread, the chronological history of the city runs through the entire exhibition in the form of a visual journey through time. A media guide with four guided tours for adults, children, in simple language and in English shows interested individual visitors the city's history in depth. In our museum app, visitors can playfully test their acquired knowledge in a quiz. 3-D glasses enable visitors to travel through 18th-century Fürth. As a "meeting point for history", the city museum also offers many incentives for ever new visits with guided tours, special exhibitions, cultural events and hands-on activities.
