  • Access to the building is possible without steps via the side entrance (elevator; main entrance only with stairs).
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps (via elevator).
  • Door thresholds are a maximum of 3 cm high.
  • The elevator car is 108 cm x 210 cm.
  • The elevator door is 90 cm wide. If passages are available.
  • Doors are at least 90 cm wide or there are alternative ways.
  • The exhibits are predominantly visible, perceptible or recognizable while seated. 
  • Exhibit information is predominantly legible while seated.
  • The cash register is 79 cm high at its lowest point. 

1st floor: Public WC

  • A unisex restroom is provided.
  • The movement areas are:
  • in front of the washbasin 156 cm x 260 cm;
  • in front of the WC 260 cm x 156 cm;
  • to the left of the WC 110 cm x 70 cm;
  • to the right of the WC 150 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are folding grab bars to the left and right of the WC.
  • The washbasin is accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror is visible in sitting and standing position.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms. 
  • There is a visual contrast between the exhibits and the surroundings. 
  • Exhibits are generally well lit. 
  • Exhibit signage is visually contrasting. 
  • Information is conveyed in writing. Audible information is provided. Information is tactile (Braille, prismatic lettering).
  • The following technical options for conveying information are available: Multimedia guide available, apps available, QR codes, films.  
  • A visually high-contrast and tactile guidance system is available for orientation. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system.
  • The stopping position is not announced by speech.
  • The signage is designed in easily legible lettering.
  • A unisex toilet is provided.
  • There are glass doors; some of these have no safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.

  • Orientation information is available in written form. Orientation information is available acoustically.
