Parking/Meeting point

  • There are designated parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 380 cm x 450 cm; distance to the entrance/meeting point "Herzogskasten" approx. 30 m).
  • The path from the car park to the main and side entrance of the Tourist Information in the "Herzogskasten" is easy to walk and drive on and has a gradient of 7 %.
  • The meeting point is the indoor area of the "Herzogskasten" or the outdoor area (town hall). The fee is paid at the counter in the "Herzogkasten" or with the city guide himself.
  • There is a steplessly accessible entrance (alternative: main entrance with steps at a height of 18 cm).
  • There is an elevator in the indoor area.

Guided tour

  • The entire route of the tour is steplessly accessible for wheelchair users.
  • The paths are easy to walk and drive on.
  • The minimum path width is 110 cm.
  • The maximum longitudinal inclination of the paths is 8 % at a lenght of 30 m. Otherwise the gradients are max. 4 %.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly accessible for wheelchair users. A reservation is necessary.
  • Mobile or fixed seats are available for people with walking disabilities, which can be used during the guided tour.
  • Aids offered: rental wheelchairs

Public toilet for people with disabilities on the 2nd floor ("Herzogskasten")

  • The toilet can be reached via an elevator. The size of the elevator cab is 100 cm x 149 cm. Controls are not located on a horizontal control panel.
  • The door (91 cm wide) is opened without any effort on your part (lever handle, light barrier, motion detector, etc.).
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and washbasin at least 150 cm 150 cm; 
    left and right of the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • On both sides of the toilet there are grab rails which can be flipped-up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible. The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
