All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is a designated parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible via ramps and a lift.
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 14% and a total length of 20 meters.
  • The platform of the lift is 110 cm x 160 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The checkout counter is 95 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent means of communication while seated.
  • The exhibits/stations/objects are mainly visible from a seated position.
  • The information on the exhibits/stations/objects can mainly be read while seated.
  • There are 15 wheelchair-compatible tables inside the café and 16 on the terrace (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair-compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm). Nine tables in the tasting room are wheelchair compatible.

Public WC for people with disabilities (ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 166 cm x 123 cm; in front of the WC 163 cm x 139 cm;
    to the left of the WC 48 cm x 55 cm; to the right of the WC 50 cm x 55 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC. The grab rail on the right can be folded up. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be seen from a sitting or standing position.

Guided tours

  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. 
  • It is necessary to book a guided tour in advance.
  • The entire route is step-free. 
  • Mobile or fixed seating is available for use during the tour.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms, except: guided tour.
  • The entrances are visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.

  • The exhibits/stations/objects are usually well illuminated.
  • The information on the exhibits/stations/objects is predominately provided in written form and is visually rich in contrast.
  • There is audible information (cinema).
  • The menu font in the restaurant/café is not straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no menu in large print or Braille.
  • There are no guided tours offered for people with visual impairments and blind people.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.
