Mountain Cable Car "Jennerbahn"
Description
The Jennerbahn at Königssee: Experience breathtaking views during the ascent. At the summit: Stop for a bite to eat on the panorama terrace with a view of the Berchtesgaden National Park.
The Jennerbahn, a modern cable car with floor-to-ceiling glass gondolas, is located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Königssee. The cable car takes its guests to the summit of the Jenner and into the Berchtesgaden National Park. The station buildings, the cable car itself and the restaurants JENNERALM at the top station and HALBZEIT at the middle station are built accessbile for people with mobility impairments. Ramps, elevators and automatically opening doors make the mountain experience unrestricted even for families with strollers. The lift is stopped for boarding and alighting when necessary, and staff are happy to provide assistance at any time. Wheelchairs are allowed a maximum width of 80 cm. The highest information point of the Berchtesgaden National Park in the mountain station is also accessible and is worth a visit with its interactive exhibition.

- There is a general car park above the valley station. There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 320 cm x 700 cm). The entrance/cash desk to the "Jennerbahn" is 120 m away.
- The path between the car park and the cash register is easy to walk and drive on due to its surface quality. The maximum longitudinal inclination of the outdoor path is 9 % over 60 m.
- The cash register, the entrance and exit of the valley station (ground floor and upper floor) and the middle station (ground floor and upper floor) are all steplessly accessible via one elevator each.
- The entrance doors of the valley and middle stations are opened without any effort on your part (lever handle, light barrier, motion detector, etc.).
- The cash registers at the valley and middle stations are 102 cm high at the lowest point. There is no other, equivalent communication possibility while sitting.
- The elevator at the valley station has a cabin size of 140 cm x 240 cm. The control elements are not arranged on a horizontal control panel (height of the control units 90 cm to 102 cm).
- The elevator at the middle station has a cabin size of 138 cm x 237 cm. The control elements are not arranged on a horizontal control panel (height of the control units 91 cm to 106 cm).
- All passages/doors are at least 90 cm wide (exceptions: toilet door at the valley station and cable car door with 85 cm).
- There are no carousel or rotary doors.
- In the restaurant "Halbzeit" at the middle station, there are wheelchair accessible tables.
Cable Car
- The ride is not accompanied by employees.
- The entry and exit is steplessly accessible (distance between cable car and platform edge: 1 cm).
- The width of the carble car door is 85 cm.
- The space for wheelchair and walker users in the cabin is 104 cm x 220 cm wide. The narrowest passage width is 104 cm.
- There are seats in the cabin.
- The transportation of electric wheelchairs is possible.
Bottom station: public WC:
- The movement areas are: in front of the sink 160 cm x 180 cm; in front of the WC 180 cm x 160 cm; to the left of the WC 100 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 102 cm x 70 cm.
- There are folding grab bars to the left and right of the WC.
- The washbasin is accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
- The mirror is visible in sitting and standing position.
- There is a cord as an alarm release.
Middle station ground floor: public WC:
- The movement areas are: in front of the sink 166 cm x 155 cm; in front of the WC 155 cm x 166 cm; to the left of the WC 27 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 125 cm x 70 cm.
UG top station: public WC:
- The movement areas are: in front of the washbasin 147 cm x 167 cm; in front of the WC 167 cm x 147 cm; to the left of the WC 167 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 72 cm x 70 cm.

- Assistance dogs are allowed (with muzzle and leash).
- Indoors and outdoors there is no guidance system with floor indicators.
- Glass doors are usually marked with safety markings.
- There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
- In the elevators, an emergency call is confirmed acoustically. The stopping position is not announced by speech (only serves 2 floors). Control elements and signage are usually high in contrast and available in Braille (elevator at the valley station).
- Operating elements are partially tactile and visually high in contrast everywhere.
- Paths are visually rich in contrast everywhere, but are not marked with tactile markings. The walls cannot be used for orientation.
- The evaluated areas usable by the guest are bright and glare-free.
- Staircases and escalators have handrails, but no high-contrast step surfaces.
- Signs are designed in clearly legible fonts.
- There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.
- The ride in the cable car is not accompanied by employees.
- The menu in the restaurant "Halbzeit" is designed in plain, high-contrast font, but is not available in Braille or large print.
