Trail around the Drachensee
Description
The Drachensee is a jewel for humans, flora and fauna. Around the 175-hectare reservoir area, recreation seekers and nature discoverers alike get their money's worth.
The dragon from Germany's oldest folk play, the "Further Drachenstich" gave its name to the state flood reservoir, which was only created in 2009. The approx. 5 km long, barrier-free circular path along the lakeshore is an absolute nature experience. The path is signposted throughout and information boards and desks provide comprehensive information on the formation as well as flora and fauna at the lake. Information on the tour can be accessed in four languages via QR code scan. Handicapped parking spaces and a handicapped accessible toilet at the DLRG building (Euro key) are available. Various events take place on the lake stage throughout the year. Recreational experience, nature experience, cultural experience - a lake for young and old adventurers, explorers and recreation seekers.
