Description

The Neuschwansteinblick circular trail in Schwangau is a barrier-free hiking trail that offers impressive views of the Schwangau mountains and the famous royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The flat and well-maintained trail is ideal for families, seniors and people with limited mobility.

  • The circular hiking trail is 4.8 km long.
  • The hiking trail is 180 cm wide throughout. 
  • The hiking trail is stepless and easy to walk and drive on.
  • The maximum longitudinal gradient is 10% over a maximum length of 60 m.
  • The clear width next to obstacles/frame barriers/barriers is at least 90 cm. 
  • The path runs partly on a road used by motor vehicles (30 km/h zone, play road or forest and scenic paths).
  • The hiking trail/section is also designated for cyclists, skaters etc. or horse riders. 
  • Seating is available at intervals of at least 1000 m.
  • The trail is clearly, uniformly and continuously signposted.
  • There is a public, barrier-free WC in the castle brewery, accessible via an elevator.
