Circular trail to Rubi
Description
A scenic walk/circular path to the nearby village of Rubi leads through shady woods, along thundering rivers and across sunny meadows.
From the car parks P1 and P2 or the local bus stop, the trail initially follows Rubinger Straße. At the north-eastern edge of Oberstdorf, a well-developed cycle and hiking path runs parallel to the road to Rubi.
Once you have arrived in the tranquil district of Rubi, cosy inns with Allgäu specialities invite you to stop for a bite to eat. From Hessenwinkel, in the south-eastern part of Rubi, the footpath - which is surrounded by beautiful and wide meadows - leads south below the Rubihorn. With the mountain scenery of Oberstdorf in view, this section up to the Dummelsmoos bridge is one of the highlights of the trail. Through the Bannholz area along the Trettach the path leads back to Rubinger Straße. From there, the path leads along the road back to Oberstdorf, just like the way there.
