Circular hiking trail around the Fichtelsee

Description

The approx. 2.4 km long hike around Lake Fichtelsee offers a breathtaking atmosphere. The starting and finishing point of this hike is the "Fichtelsee" campsite. On the hiking route you will find an adventure and forest playground for young and old, you can experience the circular hike both in summer and winter time. The tour has an easy difficulty.

  • The bus stop "Neubau Fichtelsee" is 130m from the entrance/exit of the hiking trail.
  • There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities (P1 - parking for people with disabilities at the campsite, 4m from the entrance/exit of the trail).
  • The circular trail is 2.4 km long. 
  • The path is accessible without steps and there are no thresholds/steps. 
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. Door thresholds are max. 2.5 cm high.
  • The clear width of the path is at least 120 cm wide.
  • The surface of the path is mainly low-vibration and easy to walk and drive on (asphalt, wooden planks, forest paths, gravel).
  • The maximum longitudinal gradient is 13 % over 35 m. 
  • The trail is not signposted throughout.
  • The hiking trail is not designated for cyclists, skaters etc. or horse riders.
  • The trail is car-free.  
  • No roads used by motor vehicles have to be crossed. 
  • Seating is available. 

Public toilet for people with disabilities at the Fichtelsee Hotel

  • The door is at least 98 cm wide.
  • There is a threshold with a height of 2.5 cm.
  • The  manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 140 cm;
    in front of the toilet 150 cm x 140 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 60 cm x 53 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 90 cm x 53 cm.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.
