Spring in the Trettach Valley

Trettachtal bike path

Description

The approx. 16 km long and challenging tour leads into the picturesque Trettach valley with an impressive mountain panorama and the crystal clear Christlessee lake.

The tour starts at the Mühlenbrücke (near the Nebelhornbahn valley station). From here, the bike path leads south. After Gruben, there is an old farmhouse on the left side. A short ascent of about 100 m follows (difference in altitude 30 m). After the houses of Dietersberg follows a short ascent to Gottesried. The cycle path crosses the Dietersbach and after about 100 m the Trettach bridge. A natural jewel awaits you here: the emerald green mountain lake "Christlessee". Via the Dammstraße, the bike path continues to the Spielmannsau restaurant, with a view of the Trettachspitze. It is still 500 m to the Alpe Oberau. Here you can fortify yourself with a hearty alpine snack. The way back is first via the same road. Instead of the Dammstraße, turn left in the direction of the Waldhotel and Christlessee, past the Oberstdorf golf course to Burgstallsteige and via Lorettostraße -Schrofengasse - Oststraße back to the starting point.
