Plant and rock open-air grounds in the Lusen National Park Center (circular trail)

Description

Plants do not stand randomly in the field - each location has its own biocoenosis. In the PLANTS-FREIGELÄNDE you will find various routes to all the important sites of the National Park. Several hundred plant species - trees, flowers, grasses and ferns - are therefore grouped together in plant communities. Typical floor plants are presented in raised beds and on information boards.

The GESTEINS-FREIGELÄNDE provides detailed insights into the geological history of the region. The stone blocks on display are each ground at one corner so that the structure is clearly visible. Some of the rocks can look back on more than 500 million years!

Take advantage of the opportunity to recognize and identify the plants and rocks you have discovered on your walks with the help of the signage!

Marking signs: Circular outdoor Plant area green/blue/red for different levels of difficulty.
Green means slope less than 6 %.
Blue means slope greater than 6 % and less than 10 %.
Red means slope greater than 10 %.
