Parkhotel Altmühltal

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

• There are two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities. 
• A bus stop is located 300 m away. 
• The path to the main entrance is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 2% over a distance of 3 meters. 
• The building is accessible without steps. 
• Almost all rooms and facilities that can be used and elevated for guests are accessible without steps or via an elevator. Exception: areas in the wellness area.  
• Almost all doors/passages that can be used and raised for the guest are at least 70 cm wide. Exception: the changing room and sauna doors. 
• The elevator is 106 cm x 150 cm, the door 90 cm wide. There is no horizontal control panel.
• The reception counter is 90 cm high. There is another equivalent communication option available in a seated position.
• Wheelchair accessible tables are available in the Restaurant Chicorée and on the terrace.
• Aids: wheelchair, other aids via the local medical supply store.

Room 115 (1st floor) and Room 307 ( 3rd floor)

• The room doors are 80 cm wide, the bathroom doors 70 cm.
• There are maneuvering spaces which are smaller than 120 cm x 230 cm.
• There is no nursing bed.
• Room 115: The maneuvering spaces next to the toilet are 48 cm x 56 cm on the left and 60 cm x 56 cm on the right. There is a handle on the left side.
• Room 307: The maneuvering spaces next to the toilet are 28 cm x 52 cm on the left and 60 cm x 52 cm on the right. There are handles which can be folded up on both sides.
• The washbasin is wheelchair accessible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• The shower is steplessly accessible and measures at least 100 cm x 100 cm.
• A shower chair and grab handles are provided.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

• There are maneuvering spaces which are smaller 120 cm x 120 cm.
• The maneuvering spaces next to the toilet are 36 cm x 55 cm on the left and 100 cm x 55 cm on the right.
• There are handles on both sides, the one on the right side can be folded up.
• The washbasin is wheelchair accessible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• There is no alarm trigger available.

Wellness area

• The wellness area is accessible by elevator.
• There are no aids to enter the pool.
• The saunas and changing room have very small maneuvering spaces.
• A sauna wheelchair is not available.

• All evaluated areas usable by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
• There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators.
• The signage is not designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
• There are glass doors without safety markings.
• An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
• The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
• The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
• Alternatively stairs are available.
• At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges.
• Steps are not visually rich in contrast.
• Some stairs have no handrail.
• The pool edges are not visually contrasted.
• The menu font in the restaurant "Chicorée" is straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
• Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.

• There is no clearly visible alarm.
• There is no audio induction loop at the counter and the (conference) rooms.
• An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
• In the restaurant "Chicorée" there are 20 tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
• There is a seating area with low background noises (e.g. seating corner, separate room).
• In bedroom 115 und 307 is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
• WiFi is offered.
