  • There is a stop (name: bus stop Kulturspeicher) of the local transport in 90 m.
  • There is 1 parking lot for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 600 cm).
  • The parking lot is 40 m from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, via a ramp). 
  • The ramp at the museum entrance is 190 cm wide and has a maximum slope of 6% and a total length of 18 meters.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for guests are accessible without steps or via an elevator. 
  • The elevator car is 168 cm x 300 cm. The elevator door is 150 cm wide.
  • Doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The museum ticket office counter is 120 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • The exhibits are predominantly visible, perceptible or recognizable while seated. 
  • The information on the exhibits is predominantly legible while seated.
  • All tactile models are wheelchair accessible.
  • Auxiliary means: folding chairs to take along for the tour, rental wheelchair
  • uided tours are available for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. Pre-registration for the tour is required. The entire route of the guided tour is step-free for wheelchair users. 

Toilet for people with disabilities (ladies toilet, ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 147 cm x 170 cm;
    in front of the toilet 147 cm x 170 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 90 cm x 68 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 25 cm x 68 cm.
  • There are grab rails on the left and right side of the toilet .
  • The left grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  •  The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 146 cm x 160 cm;
    in front of the toilet 146 cm x 160 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 25 cm x 68 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 90 cm x 68 cm.
  • There are grab rails on the left and right side of the toilet.
  • The right grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • The entrance area is visually contrasting to the surroundings. 
  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the facility/offer. 
  • The walkway from the entrance door to the museum ticket office/information counter is marked with visually contrasting and tactilely detectable markings (floor indicators).
  • A floor guidance system is in place in some areas of the Kulturspeicher.
  • All elevated areas that can be used by guests (entrance area, cashier/counter, dormitories, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e., bright and glare-free.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system. The stop position is announced by voice. The operating elements in the elevator are designed to be visually contrasting and tactilely detectable.
  • There is visual contrast between the exhibits and the environment. 
  • Exhibits are generally well lit. Exhibit signage is visually contrasting. 
  • Information is conveyed in writing and there is audio information.
  • The following technical options for conveying information are available: QR codes, NFC, apps. In room 3 of the museum, a model of the painting "Moonlight Landscape" by Andreas Geist can be felt. This is supplemented by an audio description in the BFW Smartinfo app. This is called up via the cell phone using a QR code or NFC. The app provides orientation assistance in the museum via beacons. Additionally, a floor guidance system is available in some areas of the Kulturspeicher.
  • The signage for orientation is designed in easily readable font. There is a good visual contrast between the lettering/pictogram and the background.

  •  There is an/no audio induction loop system at the reception/counter.
  •  An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system. 
  • In room 4 there is a video with sign language and subtitles about the Würzburg artist Gertraud  Rostosky.
  • Guided tours with FM equipment are made possible for people with hearing disabilities (e.g. headphones, neck ring loops)

  • The name or logo of the company/facility is clearly recognizable from the outside. 
  • The museum ticket office is directly visible from the entrance door 
  • Information on selected exhibits is provided in plain language.
  • You can download the app from the app stores. The app guides you through the museum in plain language. The museum ticket office will be happy to help you with any settings for the app. 
  • In room 4 there is a puzzle game in easy language about the artist Emy Roeder.
