  • There is a parking space for people with disabilities. A parking space is at least 305 cm wide and 490 cm long.
  • The surface condition of the parking space is not low-vibration and not easy to walk and drive on. 
  • The parking space is 35 m away from the entrance. The path between the parking space and the entrance is not low-vibration and not easy to walk or drive on.
  • The museum is accessible via a threshold 4.5 cm high.
  • Almost all rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for guests are accessible at ground level or via a lift.
  • The platform of the lift is 100 cm x 132 cm. The load capacity is 300 kg.
  • All raised and usable doors/passages are at least 78 cm wide.
  • The cash desk is 86 cm high at its lowest point.
  • The exhibits can be viewed mainly from a seated position.
  • The information on the exhibits can be read mainly while sitting down.
  • Café Gäuwagerl does not have any accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm), but there are ten accessible tables on the terrace.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 200 cm;
    in front of the toilet 200 cm x 152 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 98 cm x 71 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 130 cm x 71 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath.
  • The mirror can be viewed while standing or sitting.
  • There is an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • All evaluated areas usable by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.

  • The signage is not designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • Steps are not visually rich in contrast.
  • Stairs have at least a handrail on on both sides.
  • The exhibits are usually well illuminated.
  • The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in written form.
  • There is audible information on the exhibits.
  • Information on the exhibits is olfactory perceptible.
  • The menu font in the Café "Gäuwagerl" is not straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in written form.

  • In the Café "Gäuwagerl" there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is a seating area with low background noises (e.g. seating corner, separate room).
