The museum FLUVIUS - river and pond in Wassertrüdingen invites you to discover the underwater world accessible.

The museum FLUVIUS is a natural history and cultural history oriented museum that is spread over three floors. On the ground floor the main theme is the river Wörnitz as a lifeline and landscape creator. On the upper floor the pond economy in Middle Franconia is presented. The top floor is intended for special exhibitions.

  • A public car park for people with disabilities is located 100 m away (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • Access to the museum is step-free. 
  • All rooms that can be used by guests are accessible at ground level or by lift. 
  • The lift cabin is 108 cm x 139 cm. The lift door is 90 cm wide.
  • The sales counter with checkout area is 114 cm high. There is no other possibility of communication while sitting.
  • Doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The exhibits as well as the corresponding exhibits are predominately visible while sitting and standing.
  • Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered on request. 
  • The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly variable for wheelchair users. 

Toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 205 cm x 120 cm;
    in front of the toilet 120 cm x 140 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 105 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 26 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The left grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change in the floor covering.

  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed by a digital text field. Alternatively stairs are available. A one-sided handrail is available.
  • The exhibits are generally well illuminated. The information on the exhibits is visually rich in contrast.
  • There is audible information on the exhibits/stations/objects (films).
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic lettering.
