Museum of the Bavarian Kings
Description
A guest of kings
The Museum of the Bavarian Kings tells the story of the House of Wittelsbach, one of the oldest dynasties in Europe, which goes back many centuries. The history of the family is vividly depicted in a walk-through family tree. From King Maximilian II and his son, King Ludwig II, to the regents' patronage of the arts and building activities in the residential city of Munich, industrialization in Bavaria to the end of the monarchy and beyond, the exhibition provides an insight into the House of Wittelsbach up to the present day. The many precious exhibits tell the story of the family in a revealing and lively way.
