Kehlheim landing stage (entrance 2)

  • There is a local transport stop "Kelheim Wöhrdplatz" 250 m away.
  • There are six parking spaces for people with disabilities. One parking space is at least 280 cm wide and 500 cm long.
  • The parking space is 50 m from the entrance.
  • The cash counter is 120 cm high at the lowest point.
  • The ship's jetty (entrance 2) is accessible without steps. 
  • The jetty/runner of the boat landing has a lowest usable running width of 110 cm and a total length of 13 m. The longitudinal slope depends on the water level.

Weltenburg landing stage

  • There is no parking space for people with disabilities. 
  • The cash counter is 120 cm high at the lowest point.
  • The jetty is accessible without steps. 
  • The jetty/runway of the landing stage has a minimum usable running width of 100 cm and a total length of 15 m. The longitudinal slope depends on the water level.

MS Renate

  • Access to the passenger ship is step-free.
  • The "bow saloon" is accessible without steps. The middle saloon, stern saloon, cellar and open deck are accessible without steps via stair lifts.
  • There are two stair platform lifts (can also be used as stair seat lifts):
    from the entrance area main deck ground floor via the middle deck to the lower deck, cellar (platform size: 75 cm x 90 cm) and
    from the main deck ground floor entrance area to the open deck, upper deck (platform size: 80 cm x 100 cm).
  • The load capacity of each lift is 225 kg.
  • At the exit door to the rear open deck on the ground floor there is a 1 m long ramp with a 12 % gradient.
  • Passages and doors are at least 80 cm wide. 
  • The catering counter (open deck) is 84 cm high at the lowest point. 
  • There are tables in the dining rooms that can be moved underneath.
  • Auxiliary aids: two screens (main deck and lower deck): Here information about the course of the journey is provided acoustically, visually and in writing, acoustic announcements of stops, places of interest etc. in German and English).

Public toilet MS Renate (passenger ship)

  • The door is at least 90 cm wide.
  • The maneuvering spaces are
    in front of the washbasin 100 cm x 159 cm;
    in front of the toilet 157 cm x 100 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 91 cm x 69 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 84 cm x 69 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed (exception: for special rides with fireworks).
  • The port and starboard entrance areas are visually contrasted with their surroundings and can be recognized by a tactile change of the floor covering. The entrance doors open automatically.
  • Glass doors are not marked with safety markings.
  • At the landing stages "Kelheim" and "Kloster Weltenburg" there are visual high-contrast and tactile floor indicators (e.g. guiding strips).
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • Passenger information is designed in legible font. The information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • Operating elements can be detected tactilely almost anywhere and are visually rich in contrast everywhere.
  • Paths are visually rich in contrast everywhere and marked with tactile markings almost everywhere. The walls can be used for orientation almost everywhere.
  • The evaluated areas usable by the guest are bright and glare-free.
  • Staircases have handrails.
  • The menu font is simple and visually rich in contrast, but not available in large print.
  • Aids offered: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.), two screens (main deck and lower deck: here information about the route is conveyed acoustically, acoustic announcements of stops, sights etc. in German and English)

  • In the event of an acoustic alarm (e.g. fire alarm), a clearly visible flashing light or flashing signal appears in the following areas: main deck, lower deck with toilets, open deck/upper deck, staff rooms (e.g. kitchen).
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • There is written stop information at the "Kelheim" stop, but not at the "Kloster Weltenburg" stop.
  • Information is provided in written form.
  • In all dining rooms there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, where there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision. On the main deck there are seating areas with low background noises, but not on the open deck.

  • The destinations of the paths are usually within sight or there is an uninterrupted guidance system.

  • There is no menu with pictures available. The dishes are not presented visibly.
