Description

Since May 2021 the new MS "Donauprinzessin" is in operation. The capacity of the MS "Donauprinzessin" is 210 persons, 80 of them in the salon and 130 on the sun deck. 

Sunburn adé: On the sun deck we have a large sun awning in the summer so that you can enjoy the wonderful weather and the fantastic view in the cool shade. Groups of 30 or more can rent the Danube Princess exclusively. Duration and route of the trip can be determined by yourself.

Kehlheim landing stage (entrance 2)

  • There is a local transport stop "Kelheim Wöhrdplatz" 250 m away.
  • There are six parking spaces for people with disabilities. One parking space is at least 280 cm wide and 500 cm long.
  • The parking space is 50 m from the entrance.
  • The cash counter is 120 cm high at the lowest point.
  • The ship's jetty (entrance 2) is accessible without steps. 
  • The jetty/runner of the boat landing has a lowest usable running width of 110 cm and a total length of 13 m. The longitudinal slope depends on the water level.

Weltenburg landing stage

  • There is no parking space for people with disabilities. 
  • The cash counter is 120 cm high at the lowest point.
  • The jetty is accessible without steps. 
  • The jetty/runway of the landing stage has a minimum usable running width of 100 cm and a total length of 15 m. The longitudinal inclination depends on the water level.

MS "Donauprinzessin"

  • Entry and exit are assisted by the staff.
  • The entrance/access to the passenger ship is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, if necessary via a ramp). 
  • The door is at least 100 cm wide.
  • The bow open-air deck is accessible without steps (height of the door sill. 3 cm). The door to the open-air deck is 78 cm wide. 
  • The dining or passenger area on the main deck is only accessible via stairs (five steps).
  • There is no public toilet for people with disabilities (among other things, the WC door is 60 cm wide).
  • Passages and doors are at least 78 cm wide.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms. 
  • Entry and exit are assisted by the staff.
  • The entrance area is recognisable by a tactilely perceptible change of floor covering and visually contrasted with the surroundings. 
  • All elevated areas that can be used by guests are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in easily legible lettering.
  • On some stairs, the first and last steps have visually contrasting edges with the horizontal and vertical step surfaces. 
  • There is a menu. The menu is designed in unadorned and high-contrast typeface.
  • Aids offered: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.).

  • Entry and exit are assisted by the staff.
  • In the event of an alarm (e.g. fire alarm), the alarm is clearly audible throughout the entire building. 
  • There is no induction loop system.
  • Tables with bright and glare-free lighting are available, and there are no lamps hanging or standing on them that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
