Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • The nearest stop is Nuremberg main station. This is approx. 550 metres away. 
  • The hotel has a cooperation (discounted parking) with the Katharinenhof multi-storey car park. The parking garage is approx. 300 metres away. 
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, if necessary via a ramp).
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps or can be reached via a lift. 
  • The lift cabin is 150 cm x 148 cm. The lift door is 89 cm wide.
  • Doors are at least 80 cm wide. (Exception: doors in room 307 are only 68 cm wide).
  • The information counter is 115 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • In the catering area there are tables that can be moved underneath (maximum height 80 cm, can be moved underneath at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm).
  • The buffet counter is 97 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • If required, a wheelchair/wheelchair (chargeable) can be organised.  

Barrier-free designed room 313 on the 3rd floor.

  • Doors are at least 93 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 130 cm;
    to the right of the bed 130 cm x 200 cm,
  • There is no movement area to the left of the bed.
  • The bed is 54 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:  
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 106 cm;
    in front of the toilet 170 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 113 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 20 cm x 70 cm.
  • There is a grab rail to the left of the toilet. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. It is 67 cm high and at least 30 cm deep.
  • The mirror can be seen while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. 
  • The shower area is 113 cm x 175 cm.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.
  • There is an alarm trigger. 
  • There is a kitchenette. 
  • The (dining) table can be moved under at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm.
  •  The sideboard, sink and cooker are not accessible.

Room 307 with connecting door on the 3rd floor

  • Doors are at least 93 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 135 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the bed 65 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 180 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 59 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:  
    in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 88 cm;
    in front of the toilet 150 cm x 100 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 25 cm x 49 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 30 cm x 49 cm.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm.
  • The shower is accessible via a threshold of 15 cm. 
  • The shower surface is 90 cm x 150 cm.

  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/offer.
  • There are glass doors that do not have safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • There are no floor indicators in the indoor and outdoor areas.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system.
  • All raised areas that can be used by the guest (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage for orientation is designed in clearly legible lettering.

  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • There is at least one freely available socket near the bed.
  • Ringing or knocking at the room door is not indicated by a flashing signal that can be perceived in all rooms. 
  • In the catering area, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting where there are no lamps or hanging lamps that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • W-LAN is offered.

  • The name or logo of the facility is clearly recognisable from the outside. 
  • The counter/cash desk is directly visible from the entrance door.
  • A business card with the address and telephone number of the hotel/holiday flat is visibly displayed at the reception or in the bedroom.
  • There is no information available in easy language.
